How can you tell if your property is part of an HOA? There is usually a way to identify this, but not always.
In this clip from our Office Hours session in June of 2021, we’ll explain why there (unfortunately) isn’t always a fool-proof way to confirm the existence of an HOA in every situation, but there are some key clues you can look at to get a good idea for what applies to your property.

That's correct. There is no specific way to know. I'd always ask some surrounding houses or use a real estate agent.
Most of the time I can see something in the legal description, like WildWood Estates lot 22. Not all the time though. One time I bought a property in such a crappy HOA there was no one to call and I bought and sold the property without paying the HOA at all. I tried to pay them and called whoever I could but no one would answer. Title was not too happy with that transaction, lol! Great stuff Seth!
